Festive Foods, Inc.

Festive Foods, Inc. is a new business started November 2011 in connection with Nichols Top of the Hill Grill & BBQ, the Nichols family restaurant located in New Sharon, Maine.

Owner Lorna Dee Nichols and her family: son Scott, daughter Kate, and daughter-in-law Michele, opened the restaurant in June of 2011. Since then, they have served thousands of customers – many of whom have purchased their homemade BBQ sauces as a take-out item. With the realization that the sauces were unique and very popular, Lorna set about putting Festive Foods, Inc. into operation.

The family currently offers 14 Gourmet BBQ, Grill & Dipping Sauces and 1 hot sauce (used in the restaurant for their buffalo wings). They also hope to expand with other items. Maine ingredients are used in many of the sauces - such as the Maine Blueberry Chipotle (Blueberry Zing), Maine Maple Chipotle, Smokey Apple and just released Maine Cranberry Blast, Maine Raspberry (Razzle Dazzle) and Maine Wildberry.

The gourmet sauces are available in retail (12 ounce) sizes for use in everyday kitchens and in gallon containers for restaurant and food service use (wholesale). They also sell the retail sizes wholesale to businesses throughout New England.

Lorna believes in supporting other local small businesses and invites local farms and producers to contact her about products that could be used in any of the three businesses: Nichols Top of the Hill Grill & BBQ, Festive Foods, Inc., and Nichols Road Hog Catering.

Lorna grew up in Bean’s Corner, Jay, Maine, and has lived in New Sharon, where she and husband Scott raised their children Scott and Katelyn, since 1986.
