Songbird Farm is a diversified, organic vegetable farm located on the Sandy River in Starks, ME. Farmers Johanna Davis and Adam Nordell strive to produce organically grown foods for a local community, using mostly hand tools and renewable resources. Songbird Farm is a sustainable operation using a variety of methods to enrich the soil in which food is grown; cover crops, crop rotation, composting, etc. We hope to increase access to heirloom and traditional New England varieties of both dry beans and cornmeal, not available elsewhere in the local community. Our goal is to create strong connections to a local community of consumers, restaurants, grocers and fellow farmers.
