January 9th - Announcements
We hope that the new year is off to a great start. A few announcements to start off 2015 for Monadnock Menus:

- Our Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 28th, 10am-12pm, in Keene. You should have received a save-the-date already and an invitation is coming shortly. We hope to see you there!

- I (Sara) will be attending a Food Hub Management Course at UVM next week (January 12-16) so the amazing Helen, from Food Connects, will be taking over coordination for the week. Her number is (703) 835-7224 and she will be using the MM email. I will be checking messages periodically but if urgent, just send me a text. Please do your best to have all orders in on time to make Helen's job easier. Thanks so much!

We have plenty of amazing produce that should be available through much of the winter: apples, carrots, cabbage, celeriac, sweet potatoes, potatoes, rutabagas, onions, parsnips, turnips, herbs, and more! We also have delicious bread, bagels, yogurt, pudding, cheese, maple syrup, granola, and local meat.

We hope to have salad mix and other greenhouse greens available in the next few weeks as the short days grow a little longer!

**BUYERS: We have the ability to source some 10 lb boxes of frozen NH blueberries (from Pittsfield, NH) at ~$5.00/lb. We need to generate enough volume to make it viable. Please let me know if you might be interested.

January Harvest of the Month is Parsnips! Check out the website for some great recipes and free educational materials for your cafeteria or shop. 2015 Harvest of the Month Calendars are available for purchase (and they don't say VT on the calendar month pages).

Picadilly Farm is a Certified -Organic, Community Supported Agriculture farm in Winchester, NH. Wholesale produce is sometimes available.

Jenny and Bruce Wooster have been growing high quality produce on community and organic farms since the mid 1990’s. In 2006, they moved to Picadilly Farm. The seventy-one acres that comprise Picadilly Farm have been agricultural lands for many generations.

The farm boasts about forty acres of prime agricultural soils, a treasure of the Connecticut River Valley. Each season, we grow produce crops on twenty-six of these acres, soil-building cover crops on nine acres, and permanent conservation, erosion preventing crops on the field edges. There are also several acres of wetlands, eighteen acres of woods, and a stream that winds down to the Connecticut River about half a mile away.
