"We learn from our gardens to deal with the most urgent question of the time:How much is enough?"
Wendell Berry
The mission of the Neighborhood Market food buying club is to help people of all incomes have access to locally grown and produced food. The price is based on your income. By participating you are able to support local agriculture while also getting the best prices on local food.
The food available through the buying club is purchased in addition to your regular share. Items such as yogurt, bagels, eggs, bread and seasonal fruit are available. All food is locally grown and/or produced.
First you sign up to be a member of the buying club. You will either order by a paper form at market or online. If you are ordering online you will order your food through this site (Harvest to Market). You need to register with Harvest to Market. The food will be delivered to market. While at market you'll visit the buying club table and put your order together and pay. You can pay with cash, check, EBT or Farm to Family coupons. The buying club is separate from the produce share, you don't have to order every week (but it's great if you do) and pay separately. Every time you order you will visit this website and choose the food you would like to purchase (unless you are ordering by paper and you will do that at the market). The deadline for ordering is the Thursday before market at midnight.
