Happy Holidays and New Year. From Food Works to your families!
Our market is now open again. We will be making our Second delivery of 2013 on Monday, January 7. In the month of January we will be introducing a few new products for you. From VT Bean Crafters, we will be offering O'Karma Burgers, a new Gluten-Free, Vegan Burger which features Okara, a nutritious and inexpensive by-product of Soy, grown by Butterworks Farm and processed by VT Soy. This 100% organic burger alternative will be available by the 2-pack and the case of 24 patties.
Also from VT Bean Crafters: Gluten-free, Vegan Falafel. This awesome polenta-based falafel will be available in cases of 50.
Also, From Farm-to-Table direct, a new line of frozen produce: VT Frozen. VT Frozen is a collaboration of Non-profit Food hubs like Farm-to-Table, the Mad River Food Hub and VT Food Venture Center. We have come together to offer nutritious and affordable local produce through the winter months.
We will be offering Frozen Corn-on-the-Cob, Frozen Broccoli Florets, Frozen Shredded Zucchini, and Frozen Summer Squash Medley's. Keep posted for the unveiling of these new delicious and healthy local products!
Thank you for joining us in 2013 for another great year of delivering the freshest local foods in Central VT. Farm-to-Table's mission is to provide universal access to fresh local foods, regardless of income or ability. To this end, we subsidize sites serving at-risk populations and donations to food shelves and soup kitchens.
