Food Works at Two Rivers Center Newsletter

Farm-to-Table Weekly Circulator

Friendly Reminder:
The Market is OPEN

Order by Tuesday May 21 @ 11PM for a delivery on WEDNESDAY MAY 22, 2013

Dearest and loyal Farm to Table customers,

This newsletter comes with some very important updates about changes undergoing at Farm to Table. Please take some time to read it through as this is a newsletter you will not want to miss!
It is important to us that our customers are as involved and in the know as possible so we will do our best to be as honest and transparent as we can during this time of change. In this newsletter we will be describing a few changes which are vital to your knowledge as they will directly influence your ordering experience. If you feel you need more information, please do not hesitate to call or e-mail and I will go into more detail about the reasoning for the changes underway so that you may reach a full understanding.

First, the market will now be open at all times. However, in order to receive an order either by pick-up or delivery on Wednesday the order must be placed by Monday morning at 8 am of that week. This will be going into effect next week, the week of the 27th. So, if you would like to place an order for Wednesday May 29th, you must order by Monday the 27th at 8AM, whether the order is for pick up or delivery. The time schedule is very important to us and it will be honored rigidly.

Second, we have a new Contact Person for Farm-to-Table. For future questions, suggestions, comments, and requests, please contact Ariel Pascoe. Ariel will be available by telephone at (802)223-7700 9 AM - 1 PM Mon - Wed and Friday, or if you prefer you may e-mail her at [email protected]. You will also be able to find this information on the market, our webpage, and attached to each newsletter, so do not stress over saving this information.

Thirdly, I’d like to reiterate that Wednesday is now our sole delivery day. We ceased Monday deliveries a few weeks back and plan to keep this schedule throughout the season, maybe longer. You may place an order at any time, on Wednesday we will pack orders received by the Monday prior.

The last memo applies to buying clubs alone. We are enforcing a minimum sum of 5 orders per week at a minimum of $10 per order. If your buying club cannot meet this minimum you can still order to pick up at the Two Rivers Center of course, but please understand that any further deliveries of a lower value than $50 would be detrimental to the FTT budget considering the expenses of running our truck. We regret any inconveniences caused by this change however feel it is necessary that we streamline our process in this way in order to stay true to our mission of food justice for all while simultaneously being economically viable for our own business, for our wonderful farming community, and for our truly valued customers. Thank you for your understanding.

With Love and Kindness and Food Justice for All,
