Hello Happy Farm to Table Customers!
It is now the second week of our new ordering system. Don’t miss your chance to get on our market at harvesttomarket.com and get your order in; the deadline is Monday morning at 8am. With the downcast weather as of late it is especially important to be getting our farm fresh nutrients in! Don’t forget it’s Spring!
Our farmers have lots of awesome greens this week- all delicious and nutritious as my mom used to say. We have a varied selection, there’s something for everybody. Picky eaters can stick to the typical Green Leaf, Romaine, and Boston Bibb, while some of our more adventurous eaters might try the Braising Mix from Littlewood Farm. Try sautéing it or throwing it in a salad. And don’t forget the Kale!
Keep on ordering Robin Taylor’s eggs, we know you love them! Her eggs are protein-packed, sustainably raised and well worth the price.
We also still have some winter storage beets and cabbage, but not for long! Be sure to scoop them up fast before they’re gone. They are excellent for canning and storing throughout the year!
You should all be proud to be our customers! Cheers to supporting a mission-based program. We go the extra mile to help at risk populations get fresh and local foods, unlike other profit-based food co-ops.
Finally, we’d like to shout out to Gaylord Farm and congratulate them on their Organic certification! Although they have always grown using organic practices, the official certification is still very exciting news!!
With Love and Kindness and Food Justice for All,
Farm to Table Staff
