New and exciting offerings this week include Radishes
from Gaylord Farm and Rhubarb
from Littlewood Farm!
Be sure to pick up some of our Cabbage, Beets, Radishes, and Carrots
(the seconds are perfect) for culturing. Did you know fermented foods contain higher levels of probiotics than probiotic supplements? They are also potent detoxifiers and can help the natural body to address a number of health conditions from strokes to cancer to mental health to obesity. So stock up! Buying these veggies from us will improve your health, stimulate the local agricultural community, and help us achieve our mission to increase access to nutritious, sustainably grown & raised, locally sources foods for Vermont’s at risk population!
Wow, our customers are superheroes
If you want to learn more about cultured veggies, using food as medicine, or the importance of eating fresh local organic foods, I’d highly recommend visiting foodmatters.tv. They have an excellent article in their column this week on culturing!
We also are still offering a large variety of greens, so scoop them up! You can’t have too much!
The market is always open! We’ll be accepting orders for June 12th until Monday morning at 8am, after which the market will remain open but orders will default to the next week.
With Love and Kindness and Food Justice for All,
Farm to Table Staff
