Recipe of the Week

30 Minute One Pan Pasta

Great for busy families! Bon appetit!

12 oz Linguini, or any pasta you prefer(even quinoa pasta!)
12 oz Wellspring Farm Cherry Tomatoes, halved, this is about 3/4 of a pint
1 Onion, thinly sliced
4 cloves Garlic
1/2 teaspoon Red-Pepper Flakes
1/5 lb Basil, saving a few leaves for garnish
2 tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, plus extra for serving
Coarse salt and fresh Black Pepper
4 1/2 cups Water
freshly grated Parmesian Cheese for serving

1. Combine pasta, tomatoes, onion, garlic, red-pepper flakes, basil, oil, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and water in a large straight-sided skillet. Bring to a boil over high heat. Boil mixture, stirring and turning pasta frequently with tongs, until pasta is al dente and water has nearly evaporated, about 9 minutes.

2. Season to taste with salt and pepper, divide among 4 bowls, and garnish with basil. Serve with oil and Parmesan.

Serves 4

Order now for Delivery on August 7th, 2013

Hey there Farm-to-Table Participants,

Breakfast fans rejoice! We are once again offering Spirit Hill Farm’s Organic Back Roads Granola! This granola is seriously top notch. Organic Oats from La Panciata Bakery are also back in action, or if you prefer pancakes start with our organic Butterworks farm flours. Top it all off with Organic Blueberries from Santa Davida Farm and maple, honey, or plain organic yogurt from Butterworks Farm. Yum!!

It has come to our attention that some customers are having trouble with our online ordering system. There are a number of reasons this could be happening, the most simple of which is that some of you have been logging in, filling your baskets, and forgetting to finalize the order by hitting “confirm order”.

We also seem to be having some server related issues which have caused orders to not go through. We here behind the curtain are working hard to fix these issues, but in order to do so we need you to speak up! So, if you have placed an order but have not received a confirmation email after ordering or if for any other reason you feel that your order hasn’t gone through, the first step would be to log in and make sure there are no items “sitting in your basket,” so to speak. If this does not solve the problem, by all means: Let us know! Similarly, if you have placed any orders recently that you have not received, or if you have any other questions, please email [email protected] or call 223.7700 so that we may thoroughly examine the issue.

In lighter news, we’d like to announce a new market launching soon! Beginning in the next month or so we will have a separate market that has no cutoff date! So, even if you fail to place your order on our primary market by Sunday night on a busy week or for whatever reason, you may still place an order in our second market. The second market will be much like the first, but with a lighter inventory of our more readily available supplies. Get excited! This new market is going to make ordering your farm fresh produce with us even easier and more convenient!

Log in to the market now to place an order for next Wednesday. The market is always open! We will be accepting orders for August 7th until the cutoff on Sunday night at 11 pm. After which the market will remain open for you but orders will default to the next week.

With Love and Kindness and Food Justice for All,

Farm to Table Staff
