To log on to Harvest to Market and place an order, start by going to http://www.harvesttomarket.com

Once there, enter your e-mail address and password. Then select Vermont and Food Works as your market. Once you have made it into the market you can shop as you would any online store. Add items to your basket and check out when you are done. You can update your orders until Monday morning at 8 am for a Wednesday delivery. Any orders received after this time will default to the next week.

When you pick up your food an official invoice will be in the box. Invoices are expected to be paid within 30 days of delivery. Invoices not paid within 30 days of delivery will incur a 1% interest charge every month that they are unpaid.

Recipe of the Week


Roasted Roots


INGREDIENTS

1 ½ lbs Organic VT Grown Carrots

1 ½ lbs Organic VT Grown Parsnips

1 ½ lbs Organic VT Grown Potatoes

1 ½ lbs Organic VT Grown Beets

1 ½ lbs Organic VT Grown Beets

¾ cup canola oil

Sal and Pepper to taste

METHOD


1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. Dice veggies

3. Toss with oil, salt and pepper in a large bowl.

4. Spread on to sheet pans

5. Roast at 350 degrees F until crispy, about 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Dearest Loyal Farm-to-Table Participants,


Following our delivery on October 9th, the Farm to Table program will no longer be running. It is with our deepest apologies that we bring this news; we know that many of our customers hold the program very close to their hearts, so we’d like to encourage you to contact us at 223-7700 with any questions or concerns you may have.

Through the rest of October we will offer our support to formulate relationships between our buyers and growers. We don’t want you to miss out on their amazing products. If you are interested in contact information for any of our farmers or help creating personal connections with any of our participating farms or producers please call 223-7700 or email [email protected] We will be glad to help.

So devoted ones, buy up this week!! We still have plenty available for delivery next week, including some new offerings (think cabbage, bok choy, collards, and tomatillos) as well as some old favorites such as the gorgeous cherry tomatoes from the Two Rivers Center. We have to unload it all, so get out your canning supplies, your freezer bags, what have you and stock up on awesome local food for winter, you definitely won’t regret it.

- Buying clubs are now being asked to meet a $50 minimum to have their orders shipped out on the truck. Don’t fear! If your buying club does not meet this minimum, you are encouraged to still order as an individual, but will need to make time to pick up your order yourself at 5 Home Farm Way in Montpelier. What is Food Works?

We are a small farm that has been serving central Vermont with high quality fruits and vegetables for almost 20 years. We sell to wholesale customer’s through out the growing season (May to November).
