Summer Schedule begins soon!

This Saturday the 28th will be the final indoor market of the season in the Grange Hall in West Farmington.

Next week's Saturday's market will be at the FIDDLEHEAD FESTIVAL at UMF on the 5th of May. Starting the 12th of May, Farmington's Saturday market will move to its summer location, in the courthouse parking lot on Main Street, 9am-noon.

Farmington's Friday market will kick off the summer season a bit later than usual, on the 11th of May, with new hours: 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It will again be located on Front St., across from the Better Living Center.

Western Maine Market order pick-up will be available at each of these markets. Starting the second week of May, Friday order pick-up will move across the street from the BLC to 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the market for the season. Self-service pick-up at the BLC will be available until 3:00 p.m. Hours & days for our other locations remain the same, except that deliveries will start at 1 p.m. rather than 2 p.m.

Irish Shortbread: Traditional shortbread cookies of Ireland which my Irish granny made slightly more coarse and chewy than the shortbread from across the Irish Sea in Scotland. Lots of butter and a tad less sugar than the Scots use. I bake with King Arthur flours and put honey in recipes as much as possible instead of lots of sugar.
