Heirloom Gravenstein apples
Menu Group: Food
Section: Fruits and Berries
Category: Apples
Vendor: Rasmussen Farm
Apples from an ancient tree on our property, recently identified as Gravenstein. We never spray our apples or any of our produce. ~5 apples per lb. We love them for fresh eating, pies, and applesauce. Not cosmetically perfect, but pretty good-looking for unsprayed apples.
Fedco says: "Tender crisp aromatic richly flavored juicy firm tart flesh. Outstanding eating and cooking. Rated “very good to best” by Beach in Apples of New York.... Thin tender skin, striped with yellow, red and orange."

Beauregard Sweet Potatoes
Menu Group: Food
Section: Vegetables
Category: Sweet Potatoes
Vendor: Porter Hill Farm
These red skinned sweet potatoes have a moist orange flesh. Wonderful baked - which is my favorite way to cook and serve - but they can also be roasted, or mashed.
May be a single large 2+ lb sweet, or several moderate sized sweets. Some broke during harvest, especially the long ones, so will have a healed scar at one end or the other, but this does not affect the cooking or flavor.
Tomatoes
Menu Group: Food
Section: Vegetables
Category: Tomatoes
Vendor: Porter Hill Farm
Heirloom Mix: Pink Martha Washington , and Rose de Berne another pink tomato which is smaller and one of our favorites. Valencia, a very nice sweet yellow/orange tomato. You may also get a "tie dye" - dark red and green looking almost like a Purple Cherokee, or a Ruby Gold - large yellow with vibrant streaks of red. Since some of these tomatoes are large, the 3 lb quantity is the best buy. All naturally grown in our green houses. All VERY good.

Vendor: Rasmussen Farm
5# Heirloom mix: Sample a range of colors, flavors, sizes, & shapes, all with the kind of great old heirloom tomato taste not found in store-bought tomatoes. Rarely blemish free beauties, but juicy and delicious!
