New Vendor!
Fairbanks Farmstand & Nursery
.
Our goal is to provide super fresh and nutrient dense food to our local community. We grow using regenerative, no-till and natural farming methods. Ryan and I started the farm with our farm stand in Farmington on Route 4 in 2020 with very limited time to invest due to our growing family. We are gearing up for 2021 with new infrastructure to extend the growing season and more time to grow more food to meet the growing demand for local and healthy products.

Our nursery tagline is Plants with Purpose! The nursery is currently in development as we are just getting growing. This year we will have veggie starts, herbs, annual flowers and perennials grown from seed and cuttings.

As we grow, we will focus on the following types of plants:
*Food production
*Medicinal qualities
*Edible and Cut Flowers
*Native to Maine
*Beneficial to Pollinators
*Companion plants that attract the good bugs and deter the bad ones

We feel passionately about being self-sufficient and want to help others do the same by growing healthy seedlings and plants for successful home gardens and by sharing the natural farming techniques that we are learning how to use ourselves.

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for information about what we have available and what we are up to!

Overwintered Kale!

Vendor: Fairbanks Farmstand & Nursery
We overwintered Kale in our High Tunnel. It is looking and tasting great.
I planted this kale last September in anticipation of spring when it would start to grow again and I could share it with the world. It is fresh and delicious. I have a feeling that if you know someone that is on the fence about kale, this might point them in the right direction. I just cooked it up for my dad and he was pleasantly surprised!
