Opening day for the Rangeley area farmers' market is next Tuesday, the 1st of June.
The market is held Tuesdays 11am-2pm, on South Shore Drive by the intersection with Route 4, Sandy River Plantation.

1 lb ball, for 1 large pizza OR 4 individual 5" shells

Ingredients: whole WHEAT flour, unbleached white flour, water, olive oil, sugar, yeast, sea salt.

Directions: Thaw dough ball overnight in refrigerator. Individual crusts do not need to be thawed. Preheat oven to 450. Stretch or roll dough ball to the desired pan size. Top with your favorite toppings. Bake 18-20 minutes.

CUCUMBErS
- Marketmore 76 Cucumbers provide a huge bang for the buck! This variety is especially noted for large, juicy, and tasty cucumbers, Marketmore cucumbers are resistant to most cucumber diseases. Excellent raw, in salads, or for pickling.
- National Pickling Cucumber: Cucumber seedling in 3.5" pot. These grow very high-yielding vines of blocky fruit that is crispy and tender-skinned. For pickling this cucumber holds its quality longer than most varieties and is a top-notch selection for pickling when harvested young.

EGGPLANT
- Annina: Spineless, 5-7" Fruit. Performs just as you expect a hybrid to, but with the aesthetic and flavor of the most cherished heirloom. Glossy, teardrop shaped fruits are uniform and gorgeous with bright green calyxes. 
- Black King: Thisplant produces good yields of large 7" long oval-shaped brilliant jet black eggplants. Very flavorful and has a superior firm texture. Great roasted, grilled or added to a stir-fry. Also perfect eggplant for making Eggplant Parmesan. 

PEPPERS
- Carmen Sweet :The standard-bearer for sweet Italian frying peppers. Early maturing fruit on medium-sized 20" plants can be harvested at green or allowed to ripen to a deep red.
- El Jefe Jalapeno: Jalapeno Pepper - Fruits avg. 3 1/2-4", and can be harvested early or allowed to check (small cracks in skin).
- Lady Bell: Dependably plentiful, 'Lady Bell' produces 3-4 lobed peppers with extra thick walls that turn from a polished green to bright red at full maturity, but they're edible in either stage. Bell peppers are known for their sweet, mild flavor and this selection is definitely not an exception.
- Shishito: These trendy Japanese peppers appear on menus everywhere. Delicious sauteed in oil, perfect for tempura and stir fries. The plants are highly productive with a long season.

SUMMER SQUASH
- Zephyr - Distinctive, slender fruits are yellow with faint white stripes and light-green blossom ends. Harvest young at 4-6" for unusually delicious, nutty flavor and firm texture.
- (pictured) Zucchini, Spineless Beauty: No more scratched arms or damaged fruit from gingerly poking among sharp spines to harvest the zucchini. Spineless Beauty hybrid offers excellent yields of uniform, medium green fruit on open plants with very few spines. Expect these creamy fruits to reach 8½ inches long and about 1½ inches wide, with a dark green color, smooth texture, and slight ribbing.
