WMM Open House this Sunday -
Please join us!

Sunday the 21st of May, 2-5 pm, we invite you to join us for a celebration of a new growing & market season - an Open House for WMM. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal customers and introduce others to the market. It will provide a chance for you to meet and chat with several of our farmer/vendors, enjoy free local food, take a tour of Rasmussen Farm if you'd like, and have some fun. Fiddleheads and other products will be available for sale. A drawing will be held for WMM Gift Certificates. Aloha Rainbow Farm will provide a dozen eggs free to each of the first ten parties to arrive.

King & I Angus is owned and operated by Dennis and Sara Wilk. After almost 30 years in the food industry, in 2000 we started our farm with 171 acres and have grown to over 300 acres today. Our mission is to be the most progressive Angus breeder in the state with our cattle producing tremendous calves for the beef industry. Our herd has grown from thoroughly researched Black Angus Stock that maximizes efficient, top quality beef production. King & I Angus offspring are in high demand, resulting in the presence of our cattle in numerous herds in Maine and 13 other states nationwide. Our program's continuous advancements mean that our customers are able to buy restaurant quality Black Angus Beef.

100% BLACK ANGUS?
We currently are the only farm in the Northeast to offer 100% Black Angus Beef.
If you purchase just "Angus" you do not know how much of that beef actually is Angus.

All Natural Feeding: Cattle graze on our pastures and are never given any growth hormones, antibiotics or animal by products. We are grass fed based, our hay or bailage comes from our land.
Water: Fresh from a drilled well on the property and then piped to each field they graze.
Vitamins & Minerals: Free choice, always.

We do not buy from any outside source. All our calves are born and raised on our farm. You can have confidence in flavor, quality and the knowledge that you are purchasing 100% Angus.
KING & I COMFORT FOODS
King & I Comfort Foods are created by Sara Wilk, using many old family recipes passed down from her grandmothers, friends, and Mom. Any item with a name like, Ruby’s Raisin Filled Cookies, have been given the name of their original creator. We only use the freshest butter, cheeses, creams, and other ingredients.

Garlic: Montreal Bagel recipe for these magnificent creatures. Made with Garlic both inside and out, flour, yeast, sourdough starter, honey, spring water, olive oil. No dairy or eggs used. To store these, slices in halves, place in freezer and use as needed.

Sesame: Montreal Bagel recipe= we make these with lots of sesame throughout so it's a nutritious experience. Made with sourdough, honey, spring water, yeast, olive oil and made in a boiling bath like all our bagels. Lovely things

Sara's Cinnfully Sumptuous Cinnamon: This cinnamon bread is absolutely cinnfull, filled with a mix of cinnamon sugar, brown sugar and warm melted butter for a sumptuous experience. Warm it with a dollop of ice cream on top or a very special French toast.

Four meatballs in basic tomato sauce. This recipe is a Boston North End original, passed on to Sara many years ago. A blend of our own 100% Black Angus Beef, ground pork, Romano cheese and a touch of sweet basil. The sauce is a basic tomato sauce lightly seasoned, enough for approximately half pound of pasta.

Beef Chili with Bacon and Black Beans: This is a simple chili enjoyed by all. Made with King & I Angus 100% Black Angus ground beef, tomatoes, bacon, black beans, and spiced but not spicy. One lb of this thick but smooth chili is one hearty serving or two small. Fresh Frozen this week.

Sloppy Joe: A great treat for any night, Sloppy Joes. Slightly sweet, with a little bit of spice, and piled on a burger roll, simply yummy. Comes in a microwaveable container.
