Farmington's Farmers' Markets Are Open Outdoors!
.
Farmington's Friday and Saturday farmers' market will open for the season this coming weekend, the 6th and 7th of May. The Friday market is moving across Front Street to the area directly north of the Better Living Center. Friday hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the address is 181 Front Street. The Saturday market returns to its longtime location, in front of the district court house at 129 Main Street, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Starting soon, both markets will again accept credit, debit, and EBT cards / SNAP benefits as well as offering Maine Harvest Bucks for eligible shoppers. A new system is being set up to process these purchases, which may take a week or two. In the meantime, many market vendors are able to accept credit and debit cards independently, and WIC benefits will be accepted by certain farms from the start.

Farmington's farmers' markets are held:
Fridays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., next to the Better Living Center, 181 Front Street.
Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon, District Court house parking lot, 129 Main Street.

WMM order pick-up will be available at both markets, starting at 11 a.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m. on Saturdays.
New and Returning Products
Sourdough Bread
Menu Group: Food
Section: Baked Goods
Category: Bread
Vendor: Fairbanks Farmstand & Nursery
Organic Wheat flour, Water and Salt - that's it! Crafted with a long slow ferment. Oh, this deliciousness does not last long in our house, and I am sure that it wont last in your house either. I was on a long run of baking bread daily while I was perfecting my sourdough technique. everyone gobbles it up so quickly that they don't eat anything else and we now have to take bread breaks. Baking sourdough bread with a long fermentation is a two day process, but it is well worth wait.
