Lots of nice large eggs, all different shades of brown: Our older layers are still giving us nice eggs and the new flock is now laying more actual large and nice large eggs, larger than mediums and smalls! They are all enjoying goodies: veggie scraps - coming from the House AND EXTRA greens and trimmings from cooking.

Medium sized eggs! Can be used for most baking projects! Just slightly smaller than regular large eggs ...three equal 2 generous large eggs for recipe planning. Golden yolks just like eggs from our older birds ...and the new girls will be laying larger eggs soon!

Field-gathered dandelion greens have a slightly bitter taste. Cooking reduces the bitterness. They can be added raw or blanched to salads or braised with a bit of olive oil, lemon & salt. Why not try dandelion green gratin? The more adventurous may wish to add bits of anchovy & hard-boiled egg--a Caesar salad variation. Harvested only from dandelions not yet in blossom.

Bali Chard Seedlings

Vendor: Fairbanks Farmstand & Nursery

Bali chard is a spectrum leap from traditional rhubarb chard even at baby stage—it’s like putting little red lightning bolts in your salad mix. With a very dark lush green fully savoyed leaf, the veins and stalk contrast like fiery lava. Mouthfeel is juicy and succulent; flavor very mild. No odd bolting or wilting, no beet-rooted rejects or wiggly weird stems. Excellent regrowth for multiple harvests.
