Headed Into June
It is a busy time of year, with lots of planting, mulching, harvesting, and fending off pests and insects. Something seemed to be eating our Swiss chard crop. I guess it was camera shy as once we put out the camera it has not been back, so on grows the Swiss chard.

This weekend we are transplanting vine crops, flower seedlings and direct seeding root crops. Potato plants are poking through the ground so we must hill them up and get them covered with the netting. No one wants to pick potato bugs, especially me.

Our early planting of radishes will be available next week. We will begin harvesting Vates kale this week. The mixed greens are maturing, so the leaf size in the bags will be larger.

Enjoy the long weekend, eat well and smell the lilacs.
