Shifting Chores
As I look out this morning the treetops sway in the breeze, and the birds fill the air with their morning songs. It is pleasant.

The garden generates its own list of chores from harvesting to maintenance. Today we start picking the green beans, harvest the last of the shell peas, work on eliminating some of those fast growing weeds and enjoy our last day of vacation.

The garlic has been harvested, cleaned and is now drying in the rafters.
Pearl onions are ready to pull, the scallions are beautiful but large, green peppers
are producing nicely and the bed of zinnia's is full of beautiful color.

This week we offer a new type of cabbage.

We plan to open the blueberry bed to the birds on Tuesday as the harvest has slowed and this farmer has picked enough of the little blue orbs for the summer.

If you order shell peas, they can be ready for pick-up at Record' on Monday to have them at their best. Choose the Special Arrangement option for Monday pickup.

Enjoy your week and all the wonderful things that summer offers.
