August Harvest
We are starting to get lots of tomatoes and now we can offer larger quantities for those of you wanting some. These will be quality tomatoes that are great for fresh eating or cooking.

Our sweet onions are ready, not huge but a nice size to cook with.

Green beans are providing a lighter harvest, if they are sold out add a request in notes and we will fill it if we gather more than we expect.

I think we are nearing the end of the tomato hornworm invasion, as of yesterday we had picked off 152 small caterpillars.

The wet weather. We all know about its effects on Maine gardens so I try not to write about it but, it is having an effect on our crops. In just one week our vine crop leaves are turning yellow, not a good sign but we hope to still get a few from each variety. Harvesting days have not been all sunshiny days, making for wet picking or rescheduling pickup. Thank all of you who have been flexible and worked with us.

Today does look nice out and it is time to head outside. Have a great week and eat well.
