Winding Down
Fortunately the garden is in a less labor demanding stage. We still work in it most days, and there are many chores to take care of, but nothing screams "I need attention today". On the other hand, I may not be listening to the one section that needs some weeds pulled.

Our grape vines did produce and we harvested one batch of tasty fruits, but it appears the birds or something liked them as well as we did. I went out to harvest some more on Saturday and not a cluster was in sight. Sad

Our second crop of Mokum carrots are ready to harvest, beets are maturing slowly and our sunflowers are going by. Still a few left to work into bouquets this week.

We harvested about 3 bushel of pears on Saturday, the first year this pear tree has produced. It is about ten years old.

Delivery at Record's will be on Wednesday. I got picked for jury duty that starts Thursday.

We hope you have a good week and are enjoying this beautiful September.
