PeaVee's Delights Newsletter

Keep the Pantry Stocked
Greetings,
Since our last newsletter we have become grandparents to a baby girl! Very exciting for us.

This week we offer up our fall harvest crops; five varieties of potatoes, three varieties of onions, garlic, carrots, peppers and tomatoes. We are fortunate that the pepper and tomato plants have made it this far, and we hope there is no frost between now and the delivery of orders.

The nasturtiums are the last true flowers in the garden, although the zinnias are hanging on but with few new buds, not much left for the bees to feed on.

We will plant next year's garlic today, and will continue cleaning and preparing the garden beds for next year while the weather permits.

We started our two acre garden plot in 1999, this year we have worked the final edges of the garden and are planning to plant apple trees, fruit shrubs, perennials and other bushes that we have not chosen yet.  We hope to lay it out so it will be low maintenance, no need to keep adding high maintenance work at this stage of life.

We thank you and hope you stay warm, eat well and enjoy the season.
