PeaVee's Delights Newsletter

Garden Greetings
In honor of my birthday, I'll keep this newsletter short and sweet!

The garden is thriving, and many plants are nearly ready for harvest. We're just waiting for them to produce enough for us to share with all of you.

We'll be bringing what we can to the market, so when you pick up your order or come to shop, be sure to take a look around!

New this week are broccoli, cauliflower, and endive. We're still harvesting Napa cabbage, snap peas, celery, lettuce, and other greens. Radishes are gone until fall, and beets and some lettuce varieties will return once the next crops mature.

I was hoping to have a porcupine in a cage for my birthday, but alas, you don't always get what you want! Its nightly visits, however, are no longer tolerable. The culprit has eaten parsley, cilantro, dill, and wax bean plants, trampled the basil to get at the parsley, and helped itself to the baby beet plants.

Farming is full of curveballs, from weather woes to unexpected pests like our hungry porcupine. It takes a lot of resilience to keep going and we will.

We hope you enjoyed the weekend and look forward to seeing you at the market!
