The Garden Marches On
Another week has flown by, and with it, another month draws to a close. Our garden continues to flourish, with crops maturing, fruits ripening, and some plants giving us their final harvest of the season.

What's Ready Now & What's Coming Soon

This is your last chance for early jersey cabbage, broccoli, shell peas, and endive!
Make sure to grab them before they're gone.

Get ready for an abundance of new arrivals! Soon we'll have wax beans, eggplant, peppers, garlic, savory cabbage, romaine lettuce, and early potatoes.
New this week are fresh shallots, radicchio, and even more ripening tomatoes. We're also excited to offer lion's mane mushrooms from Timberwoods Farm!

Celery Steals the Show, Kale Takes a Back Seat

Our celery is a hot item at the market right now! It seems to have dethroned kale as the reigning green, leaving our poor kale languishing in the cooler week after week. Kale had a good run, popular since the early 2000s, but its popularity appears to be fading. Basil might be headed in the same direction.

Recovering Crops & Raccoon Saga

Our parsley and dry beans are making a strong recovery and growing well. We've also replanted dill and cilantro in a couple of beds inside away from the critters.

On a less positive note, we still have at least one elusive raccoon on our hands, possibly more. It's cleverly avoiding our trap, eating the bait at the entrance but refusing to enter. Tonight, we're trying a new strategy with sausage balls and setting up a trail camera to get a better look at our nighttime visitor.

A Great Market Day & What's Left Over

Last week was fantastic at the market! Despite the hot, humid weather, many customers turned out to shop. We came home with only one partially full cooler. Can you guess what was in it? That's right—kale, endive, basil, and a few other overstocked items.

We truly appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you at the market this week!

Until then, eat well, enjoy local foods, and savor the summer season!
