Dover Cove Marketplace is an non-profit,online market, operating in affiliation with Dover Cove Farmer's Market. Our Mission is to provide a convenient online marketplace for farmers, farm producers and consumers; to buy and sell fresh local farm products, in Piscataquis, Penobscot, and Somerset counties.
Happy Mothers Day! Last Week of Center Theatre Pick Ups Until October.
The outdoor market opens next week, Saturday May 18th. We will begin doing pick ups at Dover Cove Farmers Market, 1041 South Street, Dover- Foxcroft, on that date. Center Theatre pick ups will resume in the fall when the outdoor market ends for the season. A large banner will appear at the South Street location over the next few days, so you can't miss it! We also have some promotional items that will be available at the outdoor market. Look for bumper stickers, magnets, and flyers, coming soon!
Featured Recipe Beef Pak Choy Stir Fry, for Mothers Day
Making mom a fresh local food feast this weekend? Try out this yummy recipe with grass fed beef from Widdershins or Shaw Farm, and crisp chunky pak choy from our featured vendor, Leaves and Blooms Greenhouse.

Ingredients:

Meat and Marinate
400 grams beef filet in one piece
½ tsp cornflour
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp vodka or gin
1 tsp oil

Vegetable and Marinate
8-10 bunches of pak choy
1 tbsp oyster sauce
2-3 cloves garlic crushed peeled and finely sliced
2 tbsp or oil
2-3 tbsp vodka or gin

Method
Cut the beef into thin slices. Cut ‘The Fresh Grower Baby White Pak Choy’ leaves in halves or quarters lengthwise and set aside. Toss the meat with the cornflour, soy sauce and garlic. Cover and leave to marinate at room temperature for 5-10 minutes.

Heat the oil, season with salt in a wok. When hot, stir fry the beef. Set aside. Heat oil season with salt and garlic add the pak choy leaves and toss quickly with the alcohol over a high heat until the leaves have wilted. Add water if needed.

Return the meat to the wok and toss to mix evenly. Season with extra soy or oyster sauce and serve immediately.
