September 18th - Apples, Pumpkins, Squash & Gourds!
The chilly evenings and mornings are signaling the changing of the seasons. Pete's Stand and Harlow Farm have a variety of winter squash, pumpkins, and gourds now available through the marketplace. Green Mountain Orchards has also added some new apple varieties this week.

You can still enjoy summer's bounty for a little while longer, including: fresh corn, tomatoes, eggplant, cucumbers, beans, and an abundance of delicious greens!

As always we have amazing local bread, bagels, yogurt, pudding, granola, and meat available each week. It's a great time of year to be purchasing local! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Pete's Stand
Pete's Stand is a small vegetable farm nestled in the fertile Connecticut River valley of Walpole, New Hampshire. Started by WWII veteran, Pete Janiszyn, the farm is now operated by his son, Mike, and grandson, John. Pete's Stand grows a wide variety of crops and offers fruit grown by other nearby farms. Stop in and visit us on Route 12 in Walpole- we harvest every morning, so you know you are getting truly fresh, healthy produce.

Westminster Organics & Harlow Farm
Third generation farmer Paul Harlow has been an early pioneer of organic farming in Vermont. Returning to the family farm in 1974 and seeing the changing face of dairy, Paul bought the farm from his father eager to take on a new challenge of growing produce and do it organically.

Since 1985 the entire farm has been certified organic using only biological fertilizers and pesticides and crop rotation processes that are still practiced today, yielding a bounty of vegetables, fruits and berries, poultry, eggs, beef, lamb and pork. Paul’s original farm, Harlow Farm, has become the flagship operation of the Westminster Organics partnership which manages over 150 acres farmed by Paul and his team.

The fertile Connecticut River valley has provided an ideal location to produce high quality organic produce which has been sold locally,
within the New England region, and throughout the eastern US. Westminster Organics grows over 40 crops with over 30 seasonal staff.

Westminster Organics aims to supply high quality, safe and healthy organic food that is affordable and widely available.

The end of the harvest- we picked all our peppers (big and small) before they got frosted. You can now get any quantity you want, and at a great price, but they will be 'baby sized'. Still good for cooking and fresh eating, but a tad more work.
