Our farmers are harvesting many different crops right now as shown on our inventory. Cabbage, carrots and apples are just a few examples. Let's see what we can make with these ingredients to please a crowd!
How about a creamy coleslaw? A little methodical chopping and cutting, a large bowl, some measuring and you'll have tossed together a delicious nutritional side dish! A great dish to combine with barbequed pork.

Cream Coleslaw Recipe
4 cups coleslaw mix (combine chopped green and purple cabbage, shredded carrots, and maybe some orange bell pepper)
2 unpeeled tart apple, chopped
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup flaxseed oil
4 tablespoons lemon juice
4 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoon celery seed

■In a bowl combine the coleslaw mix, apple, celery and green peppers.
■In a small bowl, whisk remaining ingredients.
■Pour over coleslaw and toss to coat.

Pete's Stand is a small vegetable farm nestled in the fertile Connecticut River valley of Walpole, New Hampshire. Started by WWII veteran, Pete Janiszyn, the farm is now operated by his son, Mike, and grandson, John. Pete's Stand grows a wide variety of crops and offers fruit grown by other nearby farms. Stop in and visit us on Route 12 in Walpole- we harvest every morning, so you know you are getting truly fresh, healthy produce.

Pete's is open 10-6 7 days a week. We have a HUGE variety of locally grown produce, and are beginning our transition into Autumn with beautiful cabbages, pumpkins beginning to roll in off the vine, cornstalks and gourds, stop by for a visit!
