October 21st - Fall is in the air and the kitchen!
It's beginning to feel more like fall again, so it's a good time to cook up soups and stews and do a bit more baking. And with a couple light frosts, to enjoy the enhanced sweetness of kale.

How about a cup of soup made with pie pumpkins from Duttons or butternut squash from Harlows, along with a slice of bread? You can bake your own with Four Star Farms bread flour, enjoy a gluten free baguette from Against the Grain, or try new seeded rye from Orchard Hill. For those meat eaters, you could add some sausage - spicy or sweet!

As usual we have great variety of: apples, winter squash, leeks, onions, broccoli, radishes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, spicy greens, fresh herbs, trail mixes, bread, bagels, yogurt, pudding, granola, maple syrup and local eggs and meats.

October Harvest of the Month is Broccoli & Cauliflower. Be sure to check out the new website and re-new your pledge.
