Egyptian walking onions

Use both the green tops and the small bottoms, similar to scallions in appearance but larger, more sturdy, and much more flavorful - or plant them to grow your own! As plants, they will eventually form a taller stalk with edible small onions (like sets) on top. As these mature and grow top-heavy, the stalk falls over so those sets can take root nearby. So they "walk" a step with each new generation.
