We are trying a new thing with some of our herbs: "Herb Bouquets". Last Thursday we took some to the South Paris Farmers Market and they were a hit, I did bring home a couple and it is so nice to have beautiful fragrant green bunches of herbs in the house.

The last of the cauliflower was harvested on Friday and preserved for our winter meals. They were so tasty and I hope everyone that purchased one loved them as well. We have more started and they should produce sometime in September/October if you missed getting one this time around.

The third crop of Kalebration mix from Johnny's Selected Seed is producing well, last week's harvest looked beautiful in the bags with rich green and red colors, and the various textures. It can be eaten as a salad or used in dishes that require greens. A good spinach replacement for this time of year.

We offered samples at the market of Salt & Pepper pickling cucumbers, as with anything uncommon they need to be tried before customers will make the purchase. Every customer who tried a sample walked away with a bag full. These cucumbers have a lovely crunch but the skin is not as dense as regular green cucumbers, and they taste great. For our online ordering customers who order cucumbers this week we will add in a couple samples of the Salt & Pepper cucumbers for you to try.

We will be harvesting the second crop of Mokum carrots, Italian Cipollini onions, green peppers, celery, and red cabbage, along with a variety of other great products. Tomatoes are ripening but not enough to list yet.

Pink phlox will be in some bouquets this week, they have such a beautiful true pink color.
