September
How quickly August slipped by and we now find ourselves dropped into September.

This month we hope to harvest the crucifer plants that were started in July. (cauliflower, cabbage, kohlrabi, and broccoli). The plants look healthy and have grown quickly and display the signs of heading up.

We have another tree bearing ripe peaches, these should have cling free pits. I saw the bluejays in the tree yesterday so they need to be picked before they all have bird damage.

The green bean plants put out a nice harvest but will be pulled today, where we will plant our last crop of broccoli in their place. We are hoping that the season is long enough for the broccoli plants to mature. We did plant another row of radishes as the last crop sold well.

This week we will not be at the South Paris Farmers Market, but will take orders and meet up or deliver to customers in the Norway/Paris area on Thursday.

May you enjoy the week and all the wonderful food that is available from local growers.
